You can combine a visit to our 2 workshops , 550 meters apart (10 minutes walk).
- 4 visits per day from Tuesday to Saturday:

- Trimmings workshop (21 rue Richan 69004 Lyon): 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
- Weaving workshop (12bis rue Godart 69004 Lyon): 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
- Duration: 40 min for a workshop, 1h30 for both
- When: all year round, except public holidays (we are open in August!)
- Prices : adult: €7.5 for one workshop, €11 for both / school: €5.50 for one workshop, €7 for both
Group visits from 5 people: by reservation
In the heart of Croix-Rousse, the Soierie Vivante association invites you to open the door of the last Canuts housing workshops.
We welcome groups of up to 30 people per workshop .
- When: Tuesday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., then from 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
We can only accommodate groups of more than 30 people in the mornings. For a visit outside these hours, subject to availability (increased rate). - Duration: 40 min for one workshop, 1h30 for both.
- When: All year round, except public holidays (we are open in August)
- Language: French, English, Italian, German (on request)
- Prices (from 15 people): adult: €6.5 for one workshop and €10 for both / schools: €4.5 for one workshop, €6 for both
- Free for accompanying persons.
For schools: adapted guided tours
During a guided tour adapted to each age group, your classes observe the looms in operation, understand the tricks of weaving and the genius of Jacquard's invention, and immerse themselves in the interior of a 19th century canut workshop (similar to that in the novel "Claudine de Lyon"). You can book for just one workshop or for both.
We welcome groups of up to 30 children per workshop .
- Age: From 7 years old, for cycles 2 and cycles 3
- When: all year round, contact us for precise times
- Duration: 40 min per workshop, 1h30 for both workshops, 550 meters between the two workshops
- Prices : schools of more than 15 people: €4.5 for one workshop and €6 for both

Complete educational tools
The association provides teachers with an educational kit containing technical sheets, cocoons, spools, fabric samples, shuttles, Jacquard cardboard, etc. You will be able to prepare your visit in a fun way.
